Qiu Fan, What You Should Do

Qiu Fan, what you should do

1. Thorough treatment of mites

Young bees that breed in autumn have to survive the severe winter and then take on the heavy responsibility of breeding new bees in spring. They need vigorous and suitable-age overwintering bees. Therefore, the mites must be thoroughly treated three times in a row before the autumn propagation. While imprisoning Lao Wang, for the first time, mix 2ml of mites treatment liquid per 100g of sublimated sulfur, mix well, apply 3~5g for 10 spleen groups, and sprinkle on the spleen beam, the purpose is to cure exposed bee mites , So that the uncovered larvae are no longer affected. When the new king lays eggs, use the mite medicine and water to prepare the liquid for the second time, and spray the spleen to make each bee have fog drops. Three days later, the third application is to mix 2ml with 100 grams of sublimed sulfur. The mites treatment liquid medicine (use a different medicine from the previous two to prevent bee mites from developing resistance), the usage is the same as above.

After three consecutive treatments of mites above, the hazard of bee mites was basically suppressed, and the mites were hung to kill the mites that slipped through the net or newly invaded bee colonies, laying a good foundation for the vigorous and robust wintering bees in autumn.

2. Start autumn propagation

(1) Try to use the newly cultivated queen bee as much as possible, because the new queen has advantages in laying eggs and collecting autumn honey. When the new queen is insufficient, the old queen is used, and the excess queen bee is stored on the wall of the box.

(2) In a strong colony of more than 7-8 spleen-footed bees, it is possible to propose a new colony with a capped spleen with bees. Three colonies of bees can be mixed to form, intervene in the royal terrace or spawn queen bees, and build a new colony to increase Number of overwintering bees.

(3) If there is not enough honey in autumn during propagation, first feed it until the side spleen and the edge of the spleen are full of honey, and then use dilute syrup every day or every other day to encourage the queen bee to lay more quickly, otherwise the queen bee will lay less eggs .

3. Early feeding of overwintering feed will do more than once

According to the colony, the bee colony with redundant collection and nurturing bees, combined with reward feeding, feeds as much honey spleen as possible, and makes full use of these excess "labor" to prepare winter feed. The first is to prepare early feed for maturity; the second is to promote the premature aging of the old feeding bees that cannot overwinter, and to save the overwintering feed; the third is to eliminate the labor of some overwintering bees participating in the preparation of overwintering feed, extend their lifespan, and enhance the stamina of spring propagation; the fourth is to avoid late fall. Supplement the pain of anti-theft bees when feeding overwintering feed.

4. Anti-Powder Press

At this time, grass, loofah, hanging gourd, etc. have a lot of spit powder, and the powder ring is often pressed. If the autumn honey is too much pressure, you can add an empty spleen to exchange for a big honey spleen. If the reward is too much, reduce the amount to avoid the formation of goose head honey spleen.
