Nine beekeeping tips
1. The beehive should be placed in a cool place with the nest door facing south. Bees are phototaxis at night and should be kept in the dark at night.
2. The bee life requires flowing air, and a certain humidity must be maintained in the box.
3. The distance between bee frames in summer should be slightly larger to reduce the temperature inside the box. In winter, the distance between the bee frames should be slightly smaller to facilitate thermal insulation.
4. Keep enough food and moisture in the box in winter, and don't open the box easily.
5. When the bees are overwintering, do not open the box or shake the beehive, otherwise the bees will die.
6. After the queen queen makes a "chuckling" sound in the king's platform, it will emerge the next day. After the virgin queen bee emerges, she will go out to test the flight the next day.
7. From the size and development progress of the oviposition circle, the spawning ability of the queen bee can be seen. Where the spawning circle is large, the larvae on the same spleen develop uniformly, indicating that the queen bee has strong egg production and good quality.
8. When the bee colony is divided into groups, firstly, some drones are to build the king's platform, and to cultivate new bee queens. When the new queen king was about to emerge 1-2 days after the Wangtai was blocked, about half of the bees supported the old queen king to fly away from the hive, leaving the old nest to the new queen and the remaining bees.
9. The bees that fly away from the group are mainly young adults with working ability, and the bees remaining in the original group are mostly young bees. The sub-bees usually fly out from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in sunny and warm weather in late spring and early summer.
