Selection of bee colony
1. Purchase time: April to May in the north, when the bee colony is in the breeding period, the selection is relatively stable, and the external environment is good, and the breeding is easy to succeed.
2. Selection method: Observe at the gate of the nest. Worker bees are diligent in coming and going, and those who collect more pollen from the bees are generally a good group of vigor. Then open the box and check, if the worker bee is quiet and not panic, it means that the temperament is docile; if the queen bee is large. The feet are thick, the height is wide and the chest is wide, the abdomen is long and full, the whole body is densely covered with hairs, and the eggs are flexible and rapid without panic, indicating that the queen bee is young and strong, and has a strong ability to lay eggs.
3. The arrangement of the bee colony: it depends on the size of the site, the number of beekeeping and seasonal conditions. There are four arrangements: single-box arrangement, double-box arrangement, staggered arrangement, and three-box arrangement.
