In the first four months of this year, the value of China's imports and exports increased 5.8 percent year-on-year

 

The General Administration of Customs announced on May 9 that in the first four months of the year, China's foreign trade imports and exports increased by 5.8% year on year, further continuing the momentum of steady improvement.

 

According to customs statistics, in the first four months of this year, the total value of China's foreign trade was 13.32 trillion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 5.8%, among which, exports were 7.67 trillion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 10.6%; Imports reached 5.65 trillion yuan, up 0.02% year on year.

 

In the same period, ASEAN continued to be China's largest trading partner, with imports and exports to ASEAN reaching 2.09 trillion yuan, up 13.9% year on year, accounting for 15.7% of China's total foreign trade. Its import and export to the EU reached 1.8 trillion yuan, up by 4.2% year on year and 2.2 percentage points higher than that in the first quarter.

Expedited customs clearance at ports of entry and exit has been fully resumed

 

The National Immigration Administration has further adjusted and optimized exit and entry management policies since May 15, in order to further facilitate the flow of Chinese and foreign travelers and promote the opening-up of services.

 

To allow Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports of the People's Republic of China, permits for travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao, permits for travelling to and from Taiwan, permits for travelling to and from the Mainland for residents of Hong Kong and Macao, permits for travelling to and from the Mainland for residents of Taiwan (valid for 5 years), and entry and exit permits valid for several times a year;

 

Foreigners holding foreign passports, permanent residence permits for foreigners, foreign electronic passports and residence permits for foreigners for more than 6 months;

 

Chinese crew members working on scheduled international flights and foreign crew members who are visa-free or have obtained flight attendants, employment visas or residence permits for more than one year (including one year) can pass through the shortcut channel.
