Italian bee breeding experience tips:
The temperature dropped steadily this month, at an average of 17°C, and fell below 15°C in the second half of the month. The nectar plants are: yellow flowers, lentils, and chrysanthemums. They are a vigorous period for harvesting autumn honey. It is also a preparation period for the bee colony to survive the cold winter completely after the king is cut off.
The management of the bee colony this month:
1. Turn off Wang Duanzi before October 6, and clear Wangtai on October 16. When it is observed that the lowest temperature in the early morning reaches 10℃, the king station will be cleared after 10 days; if the bee farm is small or there are surplus personnel, it should be cleared regularly on the second, sixth and tenth day of the queen. 3 times Wangtai is better.
2. On the 10th day after turning off the king's broken child, adjust the spleen of the whole field when the last king's platform is removed. Groups with less than 5 frames (about 3 spleen bees have been out at this time) can kill the inferior king and merge the weak groups. King Guan on the 10th: total number of sons in the audience ÷ 5 = number of groups to stay.
3. Maintain the temperature in the box. On the 10th, King Guan adjusted the empty spleen on both sides and the spleen in the middle to ensure that the last batch of spleens were healthy.
4. Before October 31st:
(1) The path of each group of bees is widened to 17-20mm.
(2) Each spleen should have a palm-wide sealing honey.
(3) The king cage should be hung in the middle of the bee colony.
(4) There are no large and small bee mites in the group.
(5) No disease.
5. The box will not be removed this month to prevent heat injury.
