Once the bee robbery occurs, the life order of the affected bee colony will be disrupted, and the bees will become violent; the honey of the affected bee colony will be plundered, and most worker bees will be injured or killed. In a more serious situation, the queen bee of the stolen colony is besieged or killed in groups, abandoning the nest and fleeing. If each group steals each other, there is a danger of total destruction. In addition, both the worker bees of the stolen colony and the stolen colony have premature aging, which will affect the subsequent reproduction and other work. So how do we prevent bee theft?

Choose a site with abundant and high-quality honey sources to release bees, keep strong colonies all year round, and keep enough feed. Feed sufficient wintering feed before breeding overwintering bees, pump the feed spleen to replenish the weak groups, and use white sugar as the feed as much as possible. Pay attention to the preservation of honey, wax and honeycomb. In the season of lack of nectar, check the bee colony in the morning and evening, and cover the exposed hive with a drape. Lower the height of the nest door (6-7 mm).

Apis mellifera and Apis mellifera are raised in different farms, and the bee species with strong robbery and low guarding ability are transformed. The distance between two adjacent bee farms should be more than 2 kilometers. , The beehives in the same bee farm should not be placed too long. In the bee farms where Chinese bees and Italian bees are mixed, it is not allowed to open the box and feed the Chinese bees at the end of autumn.
To prevent bee theft, it is usually necessary to repair the beehives and fill in the gaps, and make sure that the honey does not expose the tank, the spleen does not expose the box, and the bees do not expose the spleen. Do it indoors, and wash the honey shaker after drying.
