Bee Feeding Honey

Bee Feeding Honey

1. Subsidy feeding Feed a large amount of high-concentration honey or syrup to the deficient bee colony so that it can maintain life, that is, supplementary feeding. In most areas, the winter lasts for more than 3 months each year, during which period each group needs to consume 7-15 kg of honey. If you have not collected enough overwintering honey in late autumn, you must pay close attention to subsidized feeding before the overwintering period to ensure a safe overwintering.

2. If there is a longer period of honey deficiency in other seasons, and the average honey storage per spleen is less than 0.5 kg, supplementary feeding is also necessary. For supplementary feeding, use 3~4 portions of mature honey or 2 portions of high-quality white sugar, add 1 portion of water, and let it be cremated. After cooling, put it into a feeder or empty spleen and feed it in the evening. Feed 1~2 kilograms per group each time, and feed them several times until they make up for it. For the weak group, feed with honey or syrup, which is easy to cause robbery, and the honey spleen must be added to supplement the feeding. If there is no prepared honey spleen, you can replenish the strong group first, and then use the strong honey spleen to replenish the weak group .

3. Reward feeding The honeycomb is relatively sufficient in the honeycomb. In order to stimulate the queen bee's enthusiasm to lay eggs and the worker bees to feed the larvae, thin honey water or syrup is often used to feed the colony, that is, reward feeding. In spring and autumn, in order to grow the group quickly or in the artificial breeding of kings, it is necessary to carry out reward feeding.

4. It should be started 4~5 days before the arrival of the main nectar flow period, or a week before the external source of powder; the autumn reward feeding should be carried out during the cultivation age-appropriate wintering stage; the artificial breeding king should be rewarded in the organization of the feeding group Then began to reward feeding, until the Wangtai cover. When rewarding feeding, use 2 parts of mature honey or 1 part of white sugar, add 1 part of purified water for preparation, and feed 0.5~1 kg per group every day. The frequency is based on the principle that it does not affect the queen bee's egg laying. Sometimes in order to pollinate or allow bees to collect nectar plants that are not accustomed to collecting, the bee colony is also rewarded by feeding floral honey or syrup, just adding water soaked with flowers during the preparation.

5. The honey and sugar used for feeding must be of good quality. Do not use honey with unknown routes to prevent bee disease transmission. Brown sugar, loose-packed sugar, caramel, manna honey, etc. cannot be used as overwintering feed sugar.
